Batch Consistency

Batch Consistency ensures every production run matches the approved standard set in Svasti’s master samples. This involves verifying colour uniformity, fabric weight accuracy, finishing quality, shrinkage stability, and stitching precision across all units.

We use textile engineering control methods including spectral color measurement, GSM calibration, shrinkage benchmarking, and stitch-density mapping to ensure no batch drifts from expected performance or appearance.

What We Check

  • • Colour consistency under D65 lighting
  • • GSM (fabric weight) matching approved baseline
  • • Shrinkage behaviour across multiple test washes
  • • SPI matching garment category standards
  • • Thread colour accuracy across trims
  • • Fabric handfeel variation checks
  • • Correct application of treatments (enzyme wash, anti-pilling, etc.)

Best For

  • • Products with colour-sensitive dyes
  • • Custom fabrics or blends
  • • Repeat production runs
  • • Any garment requiring predictable fit
  • • High-volume restocks

How We Maintain Consistency

All batches are checked against a master garment that defines fit, colour, finishing, and stitching. Spectrophotometers evaluate shade variation, while GSM testing ensures fabric weight matches the approved spec. Shrinkage tests confirm dimensional stability, and stitching is measured using calibrated SPI counters.

If any deviation exceeds tolerance limits, the batch is rejected or reworked before it is approved for packing.

What It Means for Your Garments

Batch Consistency protects customers from sudden changes in fit, fabric feel, colour tone, or durability. It ensures that when a product restocks or returns in a new run, it matches the original experience — exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do some brands have inconsistent batches?

Different dye lots, fabric mills, and fluctuating QC standards cause variation. Svasti avoids this by using strict test protocols.

Do fabrics always vary slightly between batches?

Minor variations are normal but should remain within tolerance. Our testing ensures deviations remain invisible to customers.
