Colorfast Treatment
Colorfast work focuses on how well a fabric holds its colour over time – against washing,汗, and bright light, especially in UAE conditions.
WHAT COLORFASTNESS COVERS
Colorfastness is about how resistant a dyed fabric is to fading, bleeding, or transferring onto other garments and skin. Dark colours and saturated tones are more sensitive, especially under heat and repeated washing.
Good colorfast treatment starts with stable dye systems, proper fixation, and wash routines at the mill – not just a “no-bleed” promise on a label.
HOW WE TREAT COLOUR AT SVASTI
- Work mostly with mills that run proper colour and wash testing in-house.
- Focus on stable, repeatable shades instead of chasing overly experimental colours.
- Check dark colours for transfer and patchy fading across several wash cycles.
- Reject fabrics that look great on day one but fall apart after basic home laundering.
WHAT YOU'LL NOTICE IN REAL USE
Colours age in a controlled way: darks stay dark for longer, lighter tones don’t turn patchy, and you’re less likely to see heavy dye runoff in the first few washes when cared for properly.
Can colour still fade over time?
Yes. Sun, heat and harsh detergents will always leave a mark. Our focus is to slow that curve down and avoid the extreme shifts that make a garment feel “ruined” too early.
